Art Mode Brightness ("the app") is an Android TV app published by Forestwood Associates. It dims the screen while your TV is showing an Art Mode display or ambient screensaver. This page explains what the app does and does not do with information on your device.
The app does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. It has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no backend server. All settings (such as your chosen brightness level) are stored only in the app's local storage on your own TV and are never sent anywhere.

| Accessibility service | Detects when Art Mode or the ambient screensaver starts or stops, so the app knows when to show or hide the dimming overlay. The service only inspects on-screen state for this purpose — it does not record, store, or transmit anything it observes. |
| Notifications | Shows a brief status notification while a required background task is running. |
| Foreground service | Required by Android to briefly launch the TCL Art Gallery app when switching into TCL Art Mode, if you enable that optional feature. |
| Dream / screensaver binding | Lets the app integrate with the TV's built-in screensaver framework. |
| Internet | Declared by the app but not used to transmit any personal or usage data — the app does not communicate with any remote server. |
Your brightness level and feature preferences are stored locally on your device using standard Android app storage. They are never uploaded, backed up to a server we control, or shared with anyone.
We do not share any data with third parties, because we do not collect any.
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, regardless of age.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
